We offer guitar, piano, drum, bass, singing, violin, clarinet and flute lessons while covering vital aspects of musical education such as music theory, aural skills, harmony, pitch, technique, posture, strength development, reading music sheets and much more. We have a team of young and experienced music teachers who specialize in a broad range of styles and instruments. Our teachers are handpicked for their qualifications and ability to ensure that every lesson is an enriching experience.
One-on-One Private Instruction
Here at Northern Music School, we believe that private music lessons are a great way to impart quality music education. With personalized attention and tailored lessons, we make sure to factor in individual requirements so every student has an opportunity to progress quickly – whether it is learning to play or sing a particular piece for recreational purpose or prepare for an important music exam. We encourage appearances for music exams and provide all possible assistance including technical feedback after lessons to help students pass with flying colors. Students also get to perform at our recitals which are perfect for taking them out of the classroom and performing live on stage to gain confidence, experience as well as stage presence.
Rewarding Learning for Everyone
We believe music is a gift with the power to nourish minds and souls. Our music lessons are for everyone – we have students ranging from eight year olds to elderly citizens. Whether they are novices or picking up a musical instrument after a break, our adult students thoroughly enjoy their time spent at our fully equipped music school. We also offer lessons for children under eight years provided parents are able to meet a few, simple conditions. Our classes extend from half an hour to an hour and we do not assign more than two students to a teacher at a time. We offer flexible payment options as well as discounts for families with more than one child learning at our school. We have also created an NMS scholarship as a way to encourage students to apply themselves while learning and practicing.
With the guidance of outstanding teachers, our students make great strides in exploring their musical paths and achieving personal music goals. We look forward to having you at Northern Music School in Melbourne and wish you every success with your musical objectives!
